ASC stands for Axis Student Community. It is a community of students ranging from 6th grade to 12th grade at Axis Church. We believe student ministry can be exciting,
inspiring, and life-changing. We believe ministry is best done through relationships. We
meet at a church family’s home and are a tight-knit group of people that truly care for one another. We have amazing leaders that truly know the students and have genuine involvement in their lives. We also love the Word of God, which is evident in our teaching time and inclusion in Core Groups. We also love to have fun, be weird, and be ourselves. This can be shown in the goofy skits and games that the leaders and high school students lead at every Gathering. Most importantly we are a group that seeks to know and love God and each other every day and every gathering.

Gathering: Our main nights that happen every other Wednesday from 7-9 pm at an Axis family's home. They are a loving family with students in the group and love hosting our community. This involves Scripture, personal stories, illustrations, and involvement from the students to truly relate Biblical truth to the students lives and walks with Jesus. Finally we have Core Groups split up by age and gender. Each is led by a leader that is specifically pouring into those students. These are places to discuss student’s lives, the message, God’s Word, and prayer.

Student Sunday: These are events once a month during service Sunday morning.  At the Mason location we meet during second service in the Kid City area.

LEAD Night: This is a gathering for the high school students to gather with the leaders and help figure out how to lead among the group. We meet on the first Sunday night of the month from 8-9. The high school students actually get to help plan the month’s Gatherings and get involved in leading the games and skits. We also have a bible study focused on the older students geared towards growing as leaders.

Core Group Night: These are nights for the individual Core Groups to grow closer. The leaders will plan events and activities during the typical Wednesday night 7-9 times.

Serve Night: Around four times a year we will have Serve Nights on Wednesday nights from 7-9. These are in an effort to get students serving in the community.

Summer: Throughout the summer we have less formal events, usually two a month. Camp and mission trips are doing this time. The ASC leaders still stay involved with the students and will have movie nights, Kings Island days, and other times to keep Axis Student Community going throughout the summer.

Fall Retreat: We have a weekend Fall Retreat from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon at Camp Lebanon. It is geared towards having a time for our student community to have a chance to retreat from everyday life and have a weekend of fun and fellowship with other students following Jesus. There is gaga ball, ziplining, hiking, basketball, biblical teaching, Core Group times, devotional times, campfires, and awesome night games.

Winter Weekend: We have another retreat during the winter at Axis Church Mason. It is another chance to have a weekend fueled by fun and fellowship with other students that follow Jesus. We stay overnight Friday at the church and then Saturday head to Perfect North for tubing. There is a guest worship band, awesome guest speakers, Core Group times, fun games, a crazy night game, and snow tubing.

Summer Camp: We will be heading to Crossings Camp Cedarmore for summer camp. The website can be found at https://gocrossings.org/2019-cedarmore-camps/

Summer Mission Trip: Every summer a group from Axis Church head to southern Kentucky for a mission trip focused on impacting lower income areas for Jesus. The group is comprised of parents, college students, young adults, and high school and middle school students. Some of our student leaders and students go every year. This is an amazing week to go out in the world and serve those who desperately need Jesus.
