Welcome to Axis Students!
We are a community of students ranging from 6th to 12th grade at Axis Church. We believe student ministry can be exciting, inspiring, and life-changing. We believe ministry is best done through relationships. We also love to have fun, be weird, and be ourselves. Most importantly we are a group that seeks to know and love God and each other every day and every gathering.

We want every student to feel seen, known, and loved—not just by leaders or peers, but by a God who is personal and present in their everyday lives. We’re not here to create a program. We’re here to build a community that reflects Acts 2:42: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
Your First Two Years in Youth Ministry by Doug Fields, writes:
“Since discipleship as a whole is relational, discipleship with students is even more so because of the nature of teenagers. Students are already relational. Developmentally, adolescents find their identity through relationships. They adopt the moral values of those closest to them, and their faith is very interdependent with those they trust and respect. This is exciting news if our student ministries are filled with godly adults ready to reproduce themselves in students. This is alarming news if we don’t have adults willing to invest in students. If we do not invest in students, someone else will.” Doug goes on to describe how Jesus modeled relational discipleship with His own followers—not just through sermons, but through shared life. He walked with them, laughed with them, listened to them, challenged them, and cared for them deeply. From road trips and family dinners to late nights and heartfelt conversations, Jesus' ministry wasn’t just about teaching—it was about being with people.

>Let's Build This Together
We believe student ministry is strongest when we’re in it together—students, leaders, and families all playing a part.
Gathering: Our main nights happen every Sunday from 6-8 pm. This involves Scripture, personal stories, illustrations, and involvement from the students to truly relate Biblical truth to the students' lives and walks with Jesus.
Summer: Throughout the summer we have less formal events. Camp and mission trips are during this time. Leaders stay involved with the students and will have movie nights, Kings Island days, hang outs, etc.
Whether your student is all in, just testing the waters, or unsure of where they stand—we want them to know: they belong here, and this space is for them.
